/etc/init.d/portmap has been left on my machine even after this file
has been assigned to the 'portmap' package (which I don't have
installed).
I know, it was many years ago, but still :-/
Oh, also tried to reinstall the package, but to no extent.

It was long ago enough that upgrades from that version of the package
are not supported, so there is no reason to bother fixing this bug.
