I am using Debian sid, after dist-upgrade lately I found hamster does
not stop counting when it's idle.
After a quick check, I found it use the GetSessionIdleTime from Gnome
ScreenSaver, which is not exist in gnome-screensaver (2.26.1-2).
You can confirm it with
$ dbus-send --print-reply --dest=org.gnome.ScreenSaver
/org/gnome/ScreenSaver org.gnome.ScreenSaver.GetSessionIdleTime
Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method
"GetSessionIdleTime" with signature "" on interface
"org.gnome.ScreenSaver" doesn't exist
This problem has been also reported to the hamster list by Svenn Are
Bjerkem.
