Package: mrtg
Version: 2.9.10-1
Severity: normal
When mrtg fails to talk to a host it generates verbose messages to
stderr which cron then mails out. This is very annoying - it's not very
selective about how it notifies and tends overwhelm messages from real
availiablity monitoring tools.
It would be nice if mrtg would log these messages somewhere instead of
somewhere cron is going to act on them and/or be more selective about
which errors it displays.
