Package: gtk-gnutella
Version: 0.95.3
I'm using the testing version of Debian. When I tried
to install gtk-gnutella_0.95.3-2_i386.deb, it
installed,but warning it needed
libxml2 (>= 2.6.19) [i386]
GNOME XML library
when I want to upgrade the higher version of libxml2,
I found it need Hurd:
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/libs/libxml2
So could you cancel the libxml2 dep for gtk-gnutella?
Otherwise I can't use the new version in my testing
version of Debian.
Thank you.

This is not the case; that page says:
hurd [hurd-i386]
The GNU Hurd
The dependancy on the hurd is only if you are currently using the
hurd.
In fact, my testing machine says:
eve:[~]% apt-cache show libxml2
Package: libxml2
Priority: optional
Section: libs
Installed-Size: 1292
Maintainer: Debian XML/SGML Group
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>Architecture: i386
Version: 2.6.20-1
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.2.ds1-21), zlib1g (>= 1:1.2.1)
> So could you cancel the libxml2 dep for gtk-gnutella?
No, that isn't possible. gtk-gnutella uses glade to draw its interface,
which depends upon libxml.

I'm closing this bug as from the minimal information given it appears
you have just misinterrepted the dependancy information presented on the
webpage.
If this is not the case, please feel free to re-open this bug.
Thanks,
Anand
