Package: vsftpd
Version: 2.2.2-1
Severity: normal
When using vsftp in non-standalone mode (i.e. run from inetd) upgrading the
package fails:
Setting up vsftpd (2.2.2-1) ...
vsftpd user (ftp) already exists, doing nothing.
vsftpd directory (/srv/ftp) already exists, doing nothing.
/etc/vsftpd.conf: listen disabled - service will not start
invoke-rc.d: initscript vsftpd, action "start" failed.
dpkg: error processing vsftpd (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
vsftpd
Shouldn't line 45 of the initscript be changed from
Check_standalone_mode || exit
to
Check_standalone_mode || exit 0
to exit cleanly in this case?
