Hi altogether,
I just noted that saving an image as tiff does not include a thumbnail anymore.
Thus, the normal overview in digikam does not show the image butt the replacing

OK, I did some more research and ultimately found the solution to the bug:
PBKAC.
In the "Save As..." dialog, I did not change the Filter (File type would be a
better name, wouldn't it?), but only the file extension. Since the file was
saved as file .tiff, I trusted in digikam to change the type to tiff also, but
it did not. Renaming them to jpeg braught them back to life, even for digikam
;-)
GQview/geeqie obviously ignores the extension and detects the files as jpeg and
shows them properly. Well, I like digikam's behaviour better, it shows there is
something wrong with them ;-)
So, sorry for the noise and thanks for all your good work,
Wolfi
