Package: virtualbox-ose-source
Version: 1.5.2-dfsg2
Severity: normal

I'm using an AMD64 kernel on a i386 userspace (because I need to use
software only available as i386 binaries). The AMD64 kernel module compiles,
installs and modprobes, but when I run VirtualBox I get the following error
dialog :

"The VirtualBox support driver which is running is from a different version of
VirtualBox. You can correct this by stopping all running instances of
VirtualBox and reinstalling the software."

If I instead use a i686 kernel on the same box it works fine. I've tried a
K7 kernel (on another box) with success also. The problem seems to only
happen on an AMD64 kernel on a Debian Etch i386 install (though I haven't
tried an AMD64 kernel on Etch AMD64).

Oops... just realised : I'm writing this error report from a virtual
machine so the system information on this bug report will be wrong. Please
email if this is important information.

So I take it the problem is solved and this report can be closed.
