After upgrading from sarge (about a year ago) I found firefox (iceweasel) to
be very much slower than the previous version. I usually have several browser
windows open with multiple tabs in each, and in worst case switching from
firefox to another application per ALT-TAB might take as long as 5 seconds on a
900MHz Duron with 512 MB RAM and otherwise not much CPU load. One can also see
CPU load go to 100% during fast any browser operations, like switching
between tabs, which can also take around 1 second.

Version 3.0 should be much better, and 3.5 even better.
If however that happens to not be that much better, please feel free to
reopen this bug.
