I think menu does not support localization (different menu files
for the same application but of different language). For example,
WindowMaker has many translated menu files in /etc/X11/WindowMaker, but
only one is used in /usr/lib/menu/wmaker.
Also, menu only show an english version (Apss, Games..) but no
translation whatsoever into any language. Maybe menu-policy should be
appropiately translated into languages and consider this translation also
policy. That way an admin could run 'update-menus' with LANG=/=english and
obtain as a result a global menu file in the apropiate Language.
If I'm right I would like menu to have localization support,that
way maintainers could provide more than one menu file (the original one
and translated version with descriptions and such), in their packages, and
update-menus, regarding LANG would include the english one or a
translation (if available).
