Hello,
I recently upgraded to lenny and started noticing problems with my
machine.
While bugs exist for the other issues, I have not found one for this
specifically.
When I boot my system, I get a message in dmesg as follows:
hald[3622]: segfault at 0 ip 080644db sp bfb60e60 error 4 in
hald[8048000+4a000]
Once the system is booted, I am able to log in as root and restart
hal, and
it seems to start fine. Then all of my other functionality seems to come
back to life. I have tried moving the hald order to S99 instead of S24.
This has not helped the issue.
I am running this on amd64 hardware with an i686 installation,
lenny. HAL
package version: 0.5.11.
Hope this helps. Thanks.
