Hello,
Using quodlibet with the album view I found that only a fraction of the
album covers would display in the sidebar. The covers had no trouble
displaying in the upper right corner when the song played though. It turned
out that I had some directories where the .folder.jpg file was a broken
symlink to central cover image. The broken symlink caused quodlibet to stop
scanning and loading the cover images. Removing these broken symlinks fixed
the problem. The app should be able to simply skip over these broken cover
images and load the remainder.

Because of an upstream fix already applied in 2.1-4 and probably older
versions, an unaccessible cover image file no longer throws an uncaught
IOError. I believe that the issue has therefore dissapeared now.
