Package: plone-cms
Version: cmfplone
Severity: grave
Justification: causes non-serious data loss
After upgrading to plone-2.5 all my 2.1 instaces are gone.
The upgrade causes zope 2.9 to be installed, and updates plone packages in
zope2.8 instances. This leaves a non-functional
system.
The 2.8 instances are now broken, since they have ben upgraded to
packages that need 2.9 or higher, and no attempt is made to migrate plone
sites
to the 2.9 instance.
Ideally, the update of plone/zope should give the option of duplicating
or migrating instances to zope 2.9, but there should at least be a warning that
this
upgrade will break your existing plone sites in a major way.
Keep up the good work,
Gerrit jan
