*** Please type your report below this line ***
In order to reduce Emacs-based virtual-terminal pinky-strain, I've
created and published a Mercurial repository to hold a modified
``/usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/lisp-us.kmap.gz``, changed to make
Emacs keybindings significantly easier to reach.
In the end, it places two Control keys under your thumbs and three Alt
(Meta) keys beneath your pinkies, one of which is Caps Lock.
I've expanded on the purpose of the keymap on:
http://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/SwapControlAltAndCapsLock
If you find it useful, you can include the attached
"lisp-emacs-us.kmap.gz", also hosted at :
http://bitbucket.org/nickdaly/emacs-keymap/
This was based on "lisp-us.kmap.gz".
Thanks,
Nick
