Package: munin-plugins-extra
Version: 1.4.3-2
Severity: normal
The mailman plugin at /usr/share/munin/plugins/mailman uses an
undefined variable at this line:
$statefile = "$MUNIN_PLUGSTATE/munin-mailman-log.state";
I.e. it hasn't done C<my $MUNIN_PLUGSTATE = $ENV{MUNIN_PLUGSTATE}> or
something similar previously.
This causes it to try to open a statefile in / instead of
/var/lib/munin/... giving these errors when it's run:
2010/02/07-19:42:54 [32400] Error output from mailman:
2010/02/07-19:42:54 [32400] Can't open /munin-mailman-log.state for
writing: Permission denied at /etc/munin/plugins/mailman line 103.
2010/02/07-19:42:54 [32400] Service 'mailman' exited with status 13/0.
Furthermore as the statefile doesn't work the plugin wastes resources
every time it's run recomputing data that should be cached between
runs.
