Package: icedove
Version: 2.0.0.22-1
Severity: serious
Hi,
by chance I noticed that icedove did FTBFS with:
/usr/bin/ld: ../../dist/lib/libxptcmd.a(xptcinvoke_asm_mips.o): relocation
R_MIPS_HI16 against `__gnu_local_gp' can not be used when making a shared
object; recompile with -fPIC
../../dist/lib/libxptcmd.a(xptcinvoke_asm_mips.o): could not read symbols: Bad
value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
This looks like bug 541797, and the fix could easily be the same (just
that currently I know of nothing which is blocked by that).
Cheers,
Andi

Hi Andreas,
since Icedove 3.0.4 entered unstable, building on misp works fine.
See
https://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=icedove&arch=mips&ver=3.0.4-2&stamp=1271111591&file=log&as=raw
Cheers,
Christoph
