Package: wesnoth
Version: 1:1.6.5-1
Severity: important

Hello everyone,

my system is today's unstable and since I updated the xorg
server to 7.5, problems occurred with the left & right mouse buttons.
These
problems only show up in window mode (in opposition to fullscreen mode).

In window mode, the use of the left mouse button is not honoured.
After navigating through the menus by cursor keys and starting a game,
middle mouse button works, but not the other ones.

In preferences menu, the 'big' buttons ('cancel' and so on) do not work
either, but the small on-off widgets _do_ work. So I can select
fullscreen mode by left mouse click. Afterwards, left & right mouse
buttons work like expected. When I switch back to window mode, the mouse
buttons just work on the small buttons once again.

I'm running the game on a laptop with Intel 915GM with no explicit
xorg.conf. Recently, errors showed up in /var/log/Xorg.0.log indicating
problems with the touchpad. A USB mouse shows exacly the same behaviour:

Probably, this is related to the conversion from hal to udev (maybe related to
bug
#567491?), but for other programs, this seems not to be a problem. Wesnoth is
the only one where I experienced
these problems.

Please let me know if I can provide some help!

Thanks a lot for the great work,
Harald

        Hi!

The bug #565788 in libsdl1.2 got fixed so the issue with clicking in
wesnoth can be considered as fixed, too. If you still see the issue
please make sure that you upgraded your libsdl1.2 related packages from
unstable before reopening the bugs.

Thanks for your patience until the bug got fixed,
Rhonda
