I use ISCSI targets provided by a novell-cluster.
They are /dev/sda and /dev/sdb.
there are symlinks created by /dev/udev/rules.d/60-persistent-storage.rules
in /dev/disk/by-path/ but not in /dev/disk/by-id/.
this breaks several programs that depend on the later symlink for
detecting storage.
the output of:
kvm2:/# /lib/udev/scsi_id -g -x -s /dev/sda
is empty. return code is 1. (same for sdb)

No serial number here. The upstream maintainer says you need to enable
serial numbers support in the configuration of the initiator (and if it
still will not work, then it is an initiator bug unless you can show it
is not).
