Package: fbgrab
Version: 1.0.0-4
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

While trying to fix #528361, I came to a conslusion that it would be easier to write a screenshot grabber from scratch than to tinker with the current fbgrab code. fbcat[1] has the following features:
- It handles broader range of video modes than fbgrab.
- It does not pretend to support modes which it obviously does not.
- It properly deals with virtual resolutions higher than physical resolutions.
- It is memory conservative.
- It does not support reading from a file, as that cannot be implemented reliably.
- It provides an interface compatible with the current fbgrab.

You may consider switching upstreams in order to fix #526772, #528361 and #529352.

So, you're basically forking/replacing it. Given that fbgrab hasn't
seen a release for much time (I'd even say dead upstream) and your app
seems up-to-par, I'll probably follow your suggestion and ITP it while
dropping fbgrab.

fbgrab is now a transitional package, which depends on fbcat, so I'm closing the bug.
