Package: gdm3
Version: 2.30.2-4
Severity: normal
Hi,
Language settings stored in .profile get overwritten by gdm3's Xsession.
For example a snip from my .profile:
# prefer German settings for everything except messages
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_MESSAGES=C
export LANG LC_MESSAGES
The Xsession script in gdm2 did not change these settings, but gdm3 does. Now
a user is unable to choose his preferred locale settings.
Regards, Kai
