I use dchroot to call certain 32bit applications from my 64bit userland.
"do_chroot" is in /usr/local/bin. It contains
#!/bin/sh
/usr/bin/dchroot -d "`echo "$0" | sed 's|^.*/||'`" "$@"
a symlink to it is called 32mplayer (which corresponds to the renamed
"mplayer" binary in the 32bit env.).
The problem arises when trying to play files with spaces.
Like this:
$ 32mplayer "Hej monkey.wmv"
I then get:
(ia32) 32mplayer Hej monkey.wmv
which makes mplayer think it's two files, giving errors:
Playing Hej.
File not found: 'Hej'
Failed to open Hej
Playing monkey.wmv.
File not found: 'monkey.wmv'
Failed to open monkey.wmv
