Package: xpdf-reader
Version: 3.01-7
Severity: normal

Hi,

Look at http://lifc.univ-fcomte.fr/~dedu/258.ro.pdf (1MB) (the content
is not important for the bug). The rectangle at top on pages 2-6 is
rendered very slowly. The rectangle on the right side on page 4 is
rendered also very slowly (about 30 sec.) on my machine (PowerPC
1GHz).

With xpdf 3.01-7 on an i386 they are rendered much faster (about 2
sec. for the right one), even if the processor was bought about at the
same time as me (however, I use powerpc). Is a gcc optimization flag
not used on powerpc? Isn't xpdf optimized for rectangles (or things
like that)?

Best regards,
Eugen

fixed 356865 3.02-9
thanks

I can not get example file and BTS information is not so useful to
investigate problem. there were many similar bug reports which got
closed by now. EPSILON fix could have been fix to slow thing.
