Dear Sir,

I like ALSA very much and LINUX visibly there is no SOUNDS in most reboot of my
debian testing.
This is due to the false order in the device ordering, i.e. I may post you the
outputs from the command lines:

I want to have snd-hda-intel as first sound card, obliged to get any sound
with this machine.

my lsusb gives:

 cat /proc/asound/modules

 1 saa7134_alsa
 2 snd_emu10k1

But in ideally case, it would be :
cat /proc/asound/modules
 0 snd_hda_intel
 1 snd_emu10k1
 2 saa7134_alsa
 3 snd_usb_audio
 4 snd_usb_audio

Any ideas what is going on? This time I have 2 USB devices, which is making
quite some difficulties, ie. in most cases there is no sound at 90pct of the
reboots.

Best regards

A reasonable /etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf would be

###########
alias snd-card-0 snd_emu10k1
alias snd-card-1 saa7134_alsa
alias snd-card-2 snd-usb-audio
alias snd-card-3 snd-usb-audio
options snd_emu10k1 index=0
options saa7134_alsa index=1
options snd-usb-audio index=2,3
###########

There is no sound device for snd-hda-intel.
