Package: games-thumbnails
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I would like to suggest that you obtain the screenshots directly from
screenshots.debian.net to build the source of this package instead of
asking users to send screenshots via mail. I'm really sure that you
will be able to find a way to set up a query to the database which is
running screenshots.debian.net which also has a simple json interface.
The screenshots might be reduced to the needed size afterwards.

The advantage of this procedure would be to make the way you provide
screenshots for Debian packages uniform and attractive for users. Also
please make sure all screenshots gathered by the "GoPlay e-mail
interface" will be propagated to screenshots.debian.net.

If you think this wishlist bug makes sense but you might need some
help for realisation I'd volunteer to do so.

Kind regards

        Andreas.

Forgot to close the bug in the changelog :(
Version 20100826 now has a python-script to pull screenshots from
screenshots.d.n and resize them as needed.
