Subject: logrotate: please improve logrotate error messages

Package: logrotate
Version: 3.5.9-5
Severity: wishlist
I've gotten this twice now:
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Anacron)
Subject: Anacron job 'cron.daily'
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error running postrotate script
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1
The error message, "error running postrotate script", isn't very
specific. It doesn't tell what script it was, and it doesn't
tell for what log file this postrotate script would be run.
(In this case it was /etc/logrotate.d/iptraf that caused the error.)
So my request is to improve logrotate's error messages.
