Package: gnome-session
Version: 2.30.2-1

gnome-session from version 2.32 begin depend on gnome-panel and nautilus
packages but versions 2.22 do not depend on them.
gnome-session works fine without this two packages. Now we just can not use
gnome-session without gnome-panel and nautilus. Just imagine systems that
doesn't require gnome-panel's and nautilus's cool stuff but require graphic
interface, GDM and gnome-session. In case for 2.32 version we had to use
x-session, xdm and so on wich do not require Nautilus and Gnome panel.
I'm sure that gnome-session 2.32 not worser than x-session in this aspect and
doesn't require Nautilus and gnome-panel too.

I suggest to switch gnome-panel and nautilus packages from dependence to
recomended packages for gnome-session.

P.S. Even Metacity is not required for gnome-session great work actually.

We don’t have version 2.32 in Debian. Actually it doesn’t exist yet.

Huh?

Package: gnome-session-bin
Description: The GNOME Session Manager - Minimal runtime
This package contains the binaries for the GNOME Session Manager, but
no startup scripts. It is meant for those willing to start
gnome-session by hand with the components of their choice, and for
applications such as GDM that use gnome-session internally.
