For a 3rd-party package which did not detect our tk.h, I tried to provide a
solution, after discovering there was a tcl.m4 out there, and got the
following problems:
- the use of these macros, only documented in tcl.m4 itself, is quite
incomplete: only a handful of the output variables are mentioned, and it
even looks like there is a typo in SC_LOAD_TKCONFIG, where TK_LIB_DIR is
substituted, probably in place of TK_INC_DIR (see SC_LOAD_TCLCONFIG as a
comparison)
- the various SC_(PATH|LOAD)_(TCL|TK)CONFIG macros all depend on each other,
and none makes use of AC_REQUIRE or AC_BEFORE
- the SC_LOAD_TKCONFIG shows a strange behaviour, not displaying the results
of its tests. It looks like it makes information correctly available, though.
- the Debian tcl/tk installation is not recognized by these macros, and we
must supply --with-tcl=/usr/lib/tcl8.3 --with-tk=/usr/lib/tk8.3 to configure
to get any info at all.
- nothing appears to tell which CPP flags to use to find the headers
