Package: coreutils
Version: 5.97-5.3
Severity: normal

Some things in the German man page of date(1) don't match the actual
program output.

date +%a prints two letters instead of three as claimed in the man page.
(This used to be a bug in the glibc locales.)

Similarly with %c.

%p prints nothing. This should be made more explicit.

Similarly, %r doesn't add any AM/PM.

It would also help if the weekday specifications

Son..Sam
Sonntag..Samstag

were be changed to

Mo..So
Montag..Sonntag

because notionally the week starts on Monday in German, and so the
specifications as written are rather bizarre.
