Package: pidgin
Version: 2.4.3-4lenny7
Severity: wishlist
I use pidgin and like it a lot, but i don't use a full gnome (or similar
desktop), but a very lightweight openbox-based one. using pidgin in such
an environment is painfull, because it needs some sort of dock/panel to
run. adding a commandline option that starts pidgin fully visible and
shuts it down on "quit" instead of just hiding the window would be
phantastic and seems easy enough to do.
thanks robert

Pidgin doesn't need a dock to run. If one isn't running, pidgin just
acts like any other application. If a dock is running, you can stop
pidgin from using it with the "System Tray Icon" preference.
