I am rather sure that this is in fact talking about the same message,
just before and after having had an extra status byte added by IMAP or
something:

Date: Sat, 15 Apr 2006 17:36:08 +0800 (CST)
From: fetchmail-dae...@localhost
Subject: Fetchmail oversized-messages warning.

The following oversized messages remain on the mail server puggy.symonds.net:
1 msg 269541 octets long skipped by fetchmail.

2 msg 269542 octets long skipped by fetchmail.

# grep skipp /var/log/syslog|head -3
Apr 15 17:33:46 jidanni1 fetchmail[5859]: skipping message
[email protected]:4 (269541 octets) (oversized) not flushed
Apr 15 17:35:00 jidanni1 fetchmail[5859]: skipping message

Apr 15 17:36:42 jidanni1 fetchmail[5859]: skipping message

Don't ask me to reproduce it on my expensive modem.

Anyway, I upped I removed my limit, and all that was downloaded was
that one message.
