Package: masqmail
Version: 0.2.21-1
Severity: normal

hi,

default install of hylafax-server won't work with masqmail, because the
delivery script bin/faxrcvd, running as user uucp, invokes sendmail with
opt -f but uucp doesn't appear to be in a trusted group in a default install
of masqmail. See Bug#406395.
There should be a config option to set such trusted group, other than just
adding uucp to group mail, which might not be always desirable.

thanks

I don't know why these bugs hadn't been closed automatically as the
changelog included the Closes: tags.

Following is the relevant changelog entry:

 masqmail  (0.2.24-1) unstable; urgency=low

   * New upstream release (Closes: #536060, #389731)
   * New Debconf translation: Spanish by Francisco Javier Cuadrado
     (Closes: #584864)
   * Activated a hack to make group `uucp' trusted (Closes: #409912)
   * Using doc-base now
