Hello,
IMHO the partimage package should even provide the boot/root-disks
referenced by the PartImage Handbook (maybe in /usr/share/partimage).
Maybe it would be more convenient to provide them in some extra-
package, dunno - depends on your gusto :)

Today we have live CDs/DVDs like Knoppix and specifically for sysadmins
there are Knoppix based rescue CDs such as grml. Most of them contain
partimage already as they are based on Debian.
Live CDs like grml are especially suited for system administration and
far superior than the boot/rootdisk images provided by partimage.
Therefore I don't intend to package the partimage boot/rootdisk images
and I will close this bug.
