"Leave message" option does not work when computer is locked.
Whe the computer is locked, due to either being Idle or deleberately locked by
ctrl+alt+L ; there is a " Leave message " option. It is not working . Even
though a window pops up asking for message, when typed and saved, it does not
pop up when logged in ( i.e computer is unlocked) .

So, really nothing to do with login.
I'm not a Gnome user, so I can't really search for what package to
reassign this to. I suggest you search around and report a bug against
the right package.
