Package: synce-serial
Version: 0.9.0+cvs051204-2
When configuring the package, it asks for the DNS server. This
shouldn't be necessary, since that information is available in
/etc/resolv.conf.
It's also not at all clear what synce-serial is mucking around with DNS
for in the first place. This is counterintuitive and confusing. An
explanation should be provided. It also needs to make clear what the
consequences of leaving this field blank are.
Most people installing this software won't have the faintest clue what a
DNS server is, let alone why they need one to synchronise their PDA.
"Specify the IP-Address of your DNS server. If you do not have a DNS
server let this field empty.
The IP-Address of your DNS server:"
