Hello!

Transparency gradients allow to create very appealing visual effects,
for example fuzzy shadows and glowing edges.

Xpdf and Acrobat Reader are capable of rendering transparency
gradients. Applications using libpoppler should be able to render it
properly, too.

The bug is fixed in upstream version 0.12:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=595391

Ok, closing then, poppler 0.12.x is in archive since a while (and it's
part of the latest stable, Squeeze).

Thanks,
