libphp-simplepie uses the idn_to_utf8 function which according to
http://php.net/manual/en/function.idn-to-utf8.php requires (PHP 5 >=
5.3.0, PECL intl >= 1.0.2, PECL idn >= 0.1) but since the control file
only specifies
Depends: php5 | php5-cli, php5-idn, php5-curl
rather than:
Depends: php5 >= 5.3.0 | php5-cli >= 5.3.0, php5-idn, php5-curl
it can be installed with php 5.2.x which results in errors such as
Fatal error: Call to undefined function idn_to_utf8() in
/usr/share/php/simplepie/simplepie.inc on line 7645
occurring when simplepie is used.
(the system information below is misleading as I am filing this bug from
a different system from the one where the error occurred - though the
error in the control file is still present)
