Hi,
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a missing feature. Please adjust severity
accordingly.
Recently I moved/converted a virtual machine from an VMWare 2.0.2 server to
an vCenter Server 4.1. On the old server I could use the following command
to shrink the discs in case there was to much white space in them:
"vmware-toolbox-cmd disk shrink /". On the new server the command can be
called too and runs fine, but the disc size does not get reduced.
Thanks,
Hilmar

Hi Hilmar,
ESX does not support disk shrinking. Nothing you can do on the tools side to
fix it.
You can use VMware Converter to do a similar thing, though.
