gdb has been now rebuilt on almost[0] all architectures with Python
2.6, both in testing and unstable. The dependency cannot be really made
more flexible, as gdb links to libpythonX.Y.
Newer version of gdb are linked to libpython2.6 on all architectures.
Therefore, I take the liberty of closing this bug.
