Hi,
As per Wheezy Release goals, one of the release goals is to make
python 2.7 as default. Python-apt does not support python2.7 which in
turn makes packages such as apt-listchanges fail. #623077 as an e.g.
Looking forward to a new release.

WTF? python-apt supports python 2.7 and will be rebuilt automatically as
part of the transition to enable python2.7 in the build. This is not the
maintainer's job, I am thus closing this bug report.
