Package: wajig
Version: 2.0.34
Severity: wishlist
apt-file support would make a very handy addition to wajig. I'd
suggest the following:
1. wajig update should run apt-file update too.
2. wajig details could use apt-file list.
3. wajig locate could run apt-file search. I suggest "locate" because
"wajig search" is already taken and does something different, while
"locate" suggests a function like the "locate" command, and also
like "dlocate", except those only work on files already on the
system.
You might want to alias apt-file purge, or you might conclude that
it's rarely enough used that it doesn't need a wajig command.

Description:
wajig - simple and unified package management for Debian
Closes: 422500 600059
Changes:
wajig (2.2) unstable; urgency=low
.
* port to Python 3 (Closes: #600059, by making it irrelevant)
* AVAILABLE: add back to bash auto completion
* rm TODO items that no one will likely implement, and add ones that
I intend to
* WHICHPACKAGE: use apt-file and dpkg instead of custom implementation
to search for package content
* local implementation could not use path as search term if package
is not installed
* it could also not work offline if the package is not installed
Closes: #422500, LP: #141520
* INSTALL: when installing a DEB file, install its dependencies too
* UPDATE: rm dependency on dselect; use apt-get instead
