Package: gnome-terminal
Version: 2.4.1-2_i386

The actual commands are accepted by bash and run before the screen is
updated and showing. At the same time as the upgrade my screen went
from my original settings to a lovely shade of Blue so my terminal
settings were replaced by the maintainers copy or incorrectly updated in
upgrade to Gnome 2.4.

There are several issues showing with valgrind that may or may not be
related.
