Package: cvs
Version: 1:1.12.5-4
Severity: normal

cvs log -H says

        [...skipped...]
-r[revisions] A comma-separated list of revisions to print:
        [...skipped...]
branch All revisions on the branch.
branch. The last revision on the branch.
        [...skipped...]

However, running cvs log -rHEAD on some of my files shows that
the explanations should be the other way around; i.e., in
reality, "-rbranch" displays "The last revision on the branch"
while "-rbranch." displays "All revisions on the branch".

Or perhaps the behaviour is correct and the help text is wrong.
It is difficult to tell because this (.) usage is not explained
in the man page.

Hi,

cvs -H log (not the other way ’round) is consistent with the texinfo
documentation. Also, HEAD is not a branch but a rev.

bye,
