Hi,

In Ubuntu we have this patch applied to disable the edition of the
accelerator by default. This is done for consistency with other
applications.

This patch is the only delta we have in ubuntu, please consider
applying it.

  I feel some déjà vu here because I believe I've already answered this
  before... anyway, let's state it once again: Claws Mail is not a
  GNOME application, it's a GTK+ application, it's desktop neutral and
  no plans to change this exist.

  Also notice there's no Debian policy regarding this feature on GTK+
  applications AFAIK, so I'll stick to upstream here. Hence, closing
  this report.

  If you want to consider it part of the GNOME desktop in Ubuntu, well,
  I think you're wrong, but no other problem on my side :-)
