I set Kitty to download a bunch of podcasts I wanted to listen to later (about
25). It started downloading all of them at the same time. Only one of them
finished; the
rest stopped at no more than 15%.
Kitty should have a preference for the maximum number of simultaneous
downloads. It should queue the rest. And if some stop downloading for some
reason, Kitty should
detect it and try to resume them. If that fails a certain number of times, it
should notify the user and keep them in the queue.
This is important for a few reasons: 1) it takes over all your bandwidth trying
to download a lot of files at the same time; 2) its downloading behavior is
unreliable; 3)
downloading 20 files at the same time means none of them will finish anytime
soon--better to download one or two at a time so the user can start listening
to them sooner.
This is a great start; I look forward to Kitty's development.
