If placed in such a panel, only the first icon is visible and it seems like the rest of the applet continues outside of the screen. Attached are two shots of the upper right corner of my desktop. On the first (horizontal.png) the applet is in a horizontal panel. There is one browser running and two terminals. On the second (vertical.png) the applet is in a vertical panel. Only the browser icon is (somewhat) visible. The tooltip i there because I am pointing at the applet with the mouse so that you can see that the applet /height/ has grown in the available empty space on the panel, but this only results in growing the first button height. window-picker-applet would be great in a vertical panel on small-sized screen where the height of the screen is more "valuable" than the width. For example, 9" EeePCs use 1024x600 pixels screens and these 600 better be used all for applications instead of a panel.
