Package: wx2.8-doc
Version: 2.8.10.1-3.1
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/share/doc/wx2.8-doc/wx-manual.html/wx.htx.gz

wx.htx has index entries for some of the generic event macros like
EVT_COMMAND(). It'd be good if the various other macros like EVT_MENU()
were there too, to find by macro name instead of the event class name.

I forwarded this to upstream, who closed it as "wontfix" I'm afraid:

I have no idea about how is this file maintained but in any case it
doesn't exist in 2.9 where we switched to a completely different
documentation mechanism so I think it's safe to say that this will
    never be fixed. Sorry.

Given I suspect this file doesn't have wide use on Debian, it's been
removed for the next release series, and even upstream doesn't seem to
know how to update it, I don't think it makes a lot of sense to try to
address this in the debian package either.

If you can come up with a suitable patch, I'd be happy to apply it
though.

Cheers,
    Olly
