Package: solid-pop3d
Version: 0.15-24
Severity: wishlist

Dear Robert Luberda,

solid-pop3d can run either in "daemon"-mode, or even in "inetd"-mode without a
traditional internet super-server. On my system, for example, I use it in
"inetd"-mode together with the stunnel4 package (in exec-mode) in order to
establish a pop3s server (even with tcpd support).
Therefore, I would suggest that this package only recommends the package
update-inetd instead of depending on it. What do you think?

update-inetd is used in solid-pop3d postinst and postrm scripts - that's
why solid-pop3d depends on it.

Even if it most probably would be possible to reorganize the scripts a
bit, I can see no benefits of such a change, since update-inetd is
quite a small package and does not depend on inetd. That's why I'm
closing the bug report.

Regards,
robert
