Hi,
after the latest upgrade to thunderbird/icedove 2.0.0.9 I found that
Enigmail is not working anymore, lots of problems. I then removed it and tried
to reinstall, but got the error message
"Enigmail" could not be installed because it is not compatible with
your Icedove build type (linux-gnu_x86-gcc3). Please contact the
author of this item about the problem.
Although this seems to be rather enigmail related, please check whether
this is a build problem of the debian package, because it still worked with
the recent debian packages.

This works great with icedove 3 in squeeze so closing this report.
Please reopen if you still have problems.
