hello,
for some reason my zope instances, regardless which machine, all have
some strange zombie processes called "[which] <defunct>"
ps fuwax tells me that every parent zope process has at least one
zombie, and some have more than one.
i have absolutely no glue why these zombies exist, but as this happens
on several machines, some running unstable and some running testing, i
consider this as an important issue.
i don't think that zope should create zombie processes.

zope-textindexng2 which does not show the bahaviour which was reported here
was first uploaded on Sun, 7 Aug 2005. Thus I close this bug report because
it is fixed.

correct. close it as "close <bug number> <version fixing it>".
