I don't think it's feasible to require that every program deal with
sysadmin-provided replacement for standard libraries (whether shared
libraries or Python ones) in /usr/local, so I'm going to close this
bug. It's true that it would be nice if there was a better error
message, but having every application add the code for that is not
going to happen, I'm afraid.
