Trying to open an FTP server from the location menu seems to always fail. I
can, for instance, create an entry for ftp.debian.org, and it will come back
saying that the operation failed. However, I can open the folder through the
icon on the desktop. I've seen this behavior with anonymous and private FTP
accounts. SSH seems to work fine, and I haven't checked others.
I'd like to get rid of the server icons on the desktop, but this is a show
stopper, as I cannot find a way to access the connections other than the
location menu.
This bug also occurs in GNOME 2.12.
